Creating Ground partnered with Citizens UK, supported by Near Neighbours & Church Urban Fund and then University of Greenwich, on a programme to strengthen leadership skills and inspire community action. We continue to explore issues, particularly around the UK Hostile Environment, that are affecting many more people and communities like ours. In our online sessions we are currently working on a campaign about Temporary Accommodation.
Creating Ground has been running My Creative Skills workshops since September 2016 and thanks to Near Neighbours and University of Greenwich we have been able to continue. These participant-led workshops unite women from migrant backgrounds to develop their leadership skills and share their creative strengths and unique ideas. We continue to run these sessions online.
These include: -Teaching Through Drama -Inclusive and Creative Practices -Drama Games for Online Facilitation -Diversity and Inclusion Through Creative Practices
Since completing our Community Organising Training with Citizens UK, we have started to run our own series of workshops on Community Action and Leadership. These are co-created and co-facilitated by women from migrant backgrounds, and tailored to meet the needs of each group we work with.
We are so happy to have Sylwia running these weekly women-only yoga classes with us online. A rare moment where we can all switch off and be in the moment, nourishing our minds and bodies. If you would like to join please email firstname.lastname@example.org
