Mobitec 2

Creating Ground CIC hosted an Erasmus Plus mobility project organized by the Accademia Europea di Firenze with the Secondary School Sismondi-Pacinotti from Pescia, Tuscany. The group was made of 13 students who arrived on 10th June and stayed for 32 days. The students did a Language and Cultural Preparation Course for 20 hours and then started a placement in their study sectors working as sales assistant, hotel receptionists, graphic designers, PC engineers etc..

The students were living with host families in South East London. They had a tutor from Creating Ground CIC who supported them throughout their stay and were accompanied by a teacher from their school.

The students did a final presentation of the learning from the project on 9th July.

"Working with Creating Ground has been a thoroughly enjoyable and, I feel, unanimously beneficial experience. Creating Ground has sent over some diligent and keen volunteers to work with Camara, enabling our social enterprise to successfully carry out some important work. As a result, lives in disadvantaged communities have been changed for the better, through access to technology. Additionally, the volunteers have developed and improved upon skills which they can apply to various situations and tasks, moving forward in their respective lives. We'd like to take this opportunity to extend our thanks to Creating Ground and the volunteers".
