Home In A Bag
Home In A Bag is a performance co-created with our Stronger Together Leaders and
theatre-maker Erene Kaptani as part of our #NoticeUs campaign to improve Temporary Accommodation in Greenwich. Huge thanks to Trust for London, Disrupt Foundation and
University of Greenwich for supporting us to develop this piece.
The performance talks about the challenges experienced by women in temporary accommodation with not being given enough notice to move and what the impacts are for themselves and their children.
Home In A Bag was first performed at our Stronger Together Forums connecting key stakeholders across sectors to work together to find solutions to the challenges faced by migrants navigating the housing system in Greenwich. Thanks to further support from University of Greenwich,
we worked with filmmakers Sohaila Ferrier and Shabnam Nimi Divingele to film the performance so we can take it to wider audiences to continue the conversation.
