Creative Projects

We run various creative projects using theatre, dance, crafts and others arts; drawing upon local expertise and the skills and abilities of our participants. All our projects are participant-led, collaborative and aim to build confidence and create meaningful connections amongst participants

Sept - Dec 2023

This is a history project for migrant women living in Greenwich. Through walks, discussions and arts workshops we will share and research local history to establish a relationship with the heritage of our local area.

Sept - Dec 2023

This is a project that uses creativity and the arts to improve wellbeing, whilst gaining new skills and meeting new people. It is open to all migrant women, as well as mums at Plumcroft Primary School in Woolwich.

Dance Sessions

Oct - Dec 2023

These dance sessions with Luca Silvestrini's Protein Dance group are an opportunity for migrant women to come together to explore movement around different themes in a relaxed and inclusive space.

Mums' Voices

June - Dec 2023

This is a project for migrant mums-to-be or new mums to share their experiences in accessing maternity services. We've been running various creative workshops that will lead to writing a report into how maternity care can be improved for migrants.

AFRIL Parents' Forum

Ongoing

This parents' forum takes place one Saturday every month at AFRIL. It is a great opportunity to meet with other migrant women in and around Lewisham.
