Social Action Projects

Social Action Projects

We run social action projects and partner with allies in Greenwich and South East London to campaign to improve migrants' rights and experiences in Greenwich and beyond.  We believe in raising the voices of the people and communities that we work with, particularly through Community Organising.

#NoticeUs

This campaign was born out of the work of our Stronger Together group to campaign for those living in Temporary Accommodation to be treated fairly and with dignity.

Theatre In Action

In this project we've been using Forum Theatre to talk about issues migrants face in accessing healthcare services,  taking performances to key stakeholders to start a dialogue for change in policy and practice.

Understanding Policy Making

This project builds on the work of Stronger Together and Creating Ground, as well as our work with Citizens UK, to recognise our Leaders as policy makers whose voices should be heard in policy making.

Borough of Sanctuary

As part of the national City of Sanctuary movement, we are working with our local allies to make Lewisham and Greenwich Boroughs of Sanctuary, particularly focusing on migrants' housing and healthcare.

Greenwich Wellbeing Action Team

The Wellbeing Action Team established itself following the South London Listens campaign in Spring 2021.  Our main focus is to improve the links between the community and mental health services.
